BRUSSELS, November 10. /TASS/: The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement to not accept Russian travel documents issued in the former regions of Ukraine that have joined Russia, as well as in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, according to a statement published on the European Council’s website on Thursday.

04 Nov 2022; MEMO: The EU's Foreign Policy Chief, Josep Borrell, on Friday called on Iran to end its military support to Russia in the war against Ukraine, Anadolu News Agency reports.

"We insist on Iran to stop providing arms to Russia. Iran denies it but Ukrainians have been providing evidence of these drones," Borrell said on the sidelines of the Group of Seven foreign ministers' meeting in the western German city of Muenster.

04 Nov 2022; MEMO: NATO Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg, on Thursday increased pressure on Turkiye on the acceptance of Sweden and Finland to the alliance, Reuters report.

According to the report, officials from Turkiye, Finland and Sweden signed a Memorandum in June to pave the way for the two countries to address Turkish concerns regarding terrorism and arms exports, but Turkiye — along with Hungary — has yet to sign off on their accession.

BRUSSELS, Oct 30 (Reuters) - NATO on Sunday called on Moscow to urgently renew the U.N.-brokered deal that enabled Ukraine to resume grain exports via the Black Sea amid a global food crisis.

"President Putin must stop weaponising food and end his illegal war on Ukraine," NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu said. "We call on Russia to reconsider its decision and renew the deal urgently, enabling food to reach those who need it most."

All NATO allies had welcomed the agreement that came about with the help of Turkey, she noted.

BRUSSELS, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union (EU) reached a provisional agreement late on Thursday on a European Commission proposal to end the sale of new CO2-emitting cars and vans by 2035.

EU co-legislators also agreed to a 55 percent CO2 emission reduction target for new cars and 50 percent for new vans compared to 2021 levels by 2030. By 2035, the targets will go up to 100 percent for both categories.

During her whirlwind six-nation tour, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made a stop Friday in Serbia, by far the most important nation in the southern region, and one that has shown scant regard for solidarity in joining EU sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
