Russia warns Israel against supplying weapons to Ukraine

Russia yesterday warned Israel against delivering weapons to Ukraine after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was "considering" military aid to Kyiv.

"With regard to the delivery of weapons to Ukraine, we do not classify countries according to geography. However, we say that all countries that deliver weapons must understand that we will consider these weapons as legitimate targets for the Russian armed forces," said Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Feb 1 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Russia's military must stop the shelling of Russian regions from Ukrainian territory, which he said had left many people homeless or without power.

Putin was addressing a government meeting about restoring destroyed housing and infrastructure in regions of southwest Russia that border Ukraine.

"Of course, the priority task is to eliminate the very possibility of shelling. But this is the business of the military department," Putin said in remarks published on the Kremlin website.

Russia stresses need for resuming talks to revive JCPOA

Vienna, IRNA – Russian Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov urged the necessity for all parties to resume negotiations on reviving a multilateral accord reached in 2015 with Iran known as JCPOA and a subsequent removal of all the sanctions on Tehran.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sputnik, Ulyanov referred to the stalemate in the talks since September, while noting that it is still premature to say that the JCPOA is dead.

Putin speaks to Algeria President, Armenia Premier

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry in Islamabad, regional issues including the situation in Afghanistan and cooperation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) were also discussed.
