Iran hackers 'access database' with records of 9.5m Israelis

14 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israeli media reported yesterday that an Iranian group of hackers said that they had seized the data of millions of Israelis, including Prime Minister Yair Lapid and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu, and taken down the website of the Israeli broadcaster Kan.

According to the news website Walla, the Iranian hacker group war_dark said it managed to hack a database containing the details of about 9.5 million Israeli residents, including Lapid and Netanyahu.

Israel sells anti-drone system to Ukraine via Poland

13 Sep 2022; MEMO: An Israeli firm has supplied anti-drone systems to Ukraine through Poland, Israeli media revealed yesterday.

According to the Hebrew news website, Zman Yisrael, a source in the firm said that the equipment was being sold to Poland to circumvent Israel's refusal to sell advanced arms to Ukraine.

Israel: Shaked, Hendel end short-lived partnership prior to elections

12 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israel's Zionist Spirit party leader Ayelet Shaked and recent ally Yoaz Hendel ended their short-lived political partnership yesterday, local media reported.

Shaked, the Israeli interior minister, and Hendel, the Communications minister, formed their partnership just one and half a month ago.

They ended their partnership over the party's support for a possible government led by Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu, which would be strongly opposed by Hendel.

Israel: No return to Iran nuclear deal before US mid-term elections

12 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israel believes that there will be no return to Iran's nuclear deal before the US mid-term elections, senior Israeli officials said yesterday.

"If the US does not give into Iran's demands, and Iran does not give into US demands and the IAEA does not close the probes, there will be no return to the agreement," the Times of Israel reported the official saying.

Lieberman accuses Netanyahu of being behind claims made by Yossi Kamisa, a former aide, that the finance minister had commissioned him to kill a police superintendent 20 years ago.

08 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israeli opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu placed cameras in the room where he met with a delegation of US senators, without informing them beforehand that the meeting's venue would have recording equipment, Israeli website Walla News reported.

A member of the American delegation noticed a video camera in the meeting room, which one of Netanyahu's advisers had turned on while Netanyahu was holding a microphone in his hand.
