'Israel has only one year to withdraw from 1967 occupied territories': Abbas

25 Sep 2021; MEMO: Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday gave Israel only one year to withdraw from the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem.

"Without this condition being met, the Palestinian recognition of Israel on the 1967 borders might be questionable," he indicated in a recorded statement aired before the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)'s 76th session in New York.

Jailbreak shines light on mass incarceration of Palestinians

Israel closes Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshippers

23 Sep 2021; MEMO: The Israeli occupation army on Tuesday announced the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron to Muslim worshippers until Friday to allow Jewish settlers to Sukkot.

Director of the Mosque Sheikh Hafthi Abu Sneina said the Israeli occupation army informed the administration of the Ibrahimi Mosque of its intent to close the Mosque on Tuesday night until midnight on Friday.

Abu Sneina added that scores of Jewish settlers would defile the mosque during that period to mark the Jewish holiday Sukkot.

Palestine: 80% of Palestinians call for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to resign: Poll

22 Sep 2021; MEMO: A recent poll found that about 80 per cent of Palestinians want Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas to resign, Quds Press reported yesterday.

The poll was conducted by Khalil Shikaki, who runs the Palestinian Center for Survey and Policy Research in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Palestinians launch campaigns calling for Abbas to step down

20 Sep 2021; MEMO: Palestinian activists yesterday launched campaigns and petitions calling for Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas to step down after 15 years in office, Safa news agency reported.

Palestinian writer and activist Mohammad Shoukry said: "Such campaigns and petitions are part of the rights enshrined to the Palestinian people."

Dozens of Palestinian protesters injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers in West Bank: medics

RAMALLAH, Sept 18 (NNN-Xinhua) — Dozens of Palestinian protesters were injured on Friday during clashes with Israeli soldiers in protest against the Israeli settlement in the West Bank, medics and eyewitnesses said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that 217 protesters were injured by Israeli soldiers, including 35 shot by rubber-coated metal bullets and 182 subjected to suffocation after inhaling tear gas.

Palestine: Hamas warns Israel against aggression on Jenin

18 Sep 2021; MEMO: The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas on Friday warned the Israeli occupation against "committing any aggression" on the West Bank city of Jenin, a statement announced.

In the statement, Hamas expressed: "We warn the Israeli occupation against committing any aggression on our families in Jenin, which is the stronghold of resistance in the occupied West Bank."

Hamas added: "Our people will stand united in support for our people in Jenin."

Palestine: 6 escapees a priority in any prisoner swap: Hamas

18 Sep 2021; MEMO: Member of Hamas Political Bureau Khalil Al-Hayya announced on Friday that the six Palestinians who escaped from Gilboa Prison would be the priority in any potential prisoner swap.

Addressing worshippers at Friday prayer organised in front of the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza, Al-Hayya stressed: "We will keep our promise."

Israel forces wound hundreds of Palestine protesters in West Bank

18 Sep 2021; MEMO: Israeli occupation forces on Friday wounded 217 Palestinians protesting against illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) disclosed in a statement.

The PRCS revealed that 217 protesters were injured, including 35 shot by rubber-coated metal bullets and 182 subjected to suffocation after inhaling tear gas.

Palestine Condemns Israeli Opposition To Two-State Solution

RAMALLAH, Sept 17 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine condemned the current Israeli government’s position of rejecting the two-state solution, and its attempts to undermine any opportunity to establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Palestinian foreign ministry said, the position of Israeli Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, and Israeli Finance Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, “is part of the unilateral Israeli measures that aim at liquidating the Palestinian cause.”
