Russian lawmakers investigating foreign interference meet with Deutsche Welle head

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/: Members of the Russian State Duma (the lower house of parliament) commission investigating foreign interference in the country’s domestic affairs have held a meeting with Deutsche Welle Director General Peter Limbourg, the commission’s deputy head Nikolai Ryzhak told TASS.

"Yes, a meeting has taken place," he said without going into detail.

Lavrov: US pressure undermined EU efforts to resolve crisis with Iran

Speaking to reporters in Moscow, the Russian foreign minister urged Iran to fulfil its commitments under the agreement, but said that Tehran’s decision to scale back its obligation is “logical”.

Russia, India work on military technical cooperation program by 2030

MOSCOW, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Russia and India are working on a program of military technical cooperation by 2030, the Russian government said in a statement on Wednesday.

"Work is underway to agree on a program of Russian-Indian military-technical cooperation till 2030," the statement said after a meeting between Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov and Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Moscow on Wednesday.

Russia urges US to stop illegal oil sanctions on Iran

Moscow, Nov 6, IRNA - Russian Permanent Representative to the Vienna-based international organizations called on The United States to stop illegal oil sanctions against Iran.

“In order to save #JCPOA all participants should fulfill their commitments- both nuclear and economic,” The Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna and the International Atomic Energy Agency Mikhail Ulyanov wrote on his Twitter account.

He added: “US in its turn should at least stop to interfere with illegal attempts to establish oil embargo.”

Putin says Russia will not threaten other states with its advanced weapons

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/: Russia will continue expanding its defense potential, however, it is ready to do everything to promote disarmament, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with high-ranking officers and prosecutors.

"Our army and our fleet have proven their high capabilities, and we plan to continue expanding our defense potential, putting hypersonic and laser systems on alert along with other modern arms systems, which other countries do not possess so far," Putin said. However, this is "not a cause to threaten someone," he added.

Moscow court arrests Russian top manager Korshunov charged with fraud in absentia

Kremlin says it received pardon request from Norwegian jailed for espionage

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/: The Kremlin administration has received a pardon request from Norwegian citizen Frode Berg, who was jailed for espionage in Russia, and will consider it in line with normal procedures, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

"He [Frode Berg] is serving his 14-year sentence for espionage and he has sent a pardon request to the Russian president," Peskov said.

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/: Google increased filtering of content prohibited in Russia to 80%, Head of communications watchdog Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov said answering a question from TASS.

"Filtering reached 80%, that is, there is positive dynamics, we are in a dialogue with the company. We hope that the figure will be close to 100%. If not, we will have to resort to fines again. I hope this does not happen," he stated.
