MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/: The West’s accusations of Russia are an attempt to cover up its lack of desire to listen to Moscow’s concerns, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov made the statement in an interview with Pavel Zarubin for the "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin." program, a fragment of which the journalist posted to his Telegram channel.

"There are accusations from Washington, from European capitals that Russia is aggressive and so on. This is just an attempt to camouflage their unwillingness to listen to our concerns," he said.

MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/: Russian forces neutralized an enemy subversive and reconnaissance group and destroyed up to 60 Ukrainian troops in the Krasny Liman area and an ammo depot in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) over the past 24 hours, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Saturday.

MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/: The suspension of Russian athletes from the International Skating Union (ISU) events has resulted in financial losses for the union, the ISU said in a financial report published on its official website.

According to the report, the absence of Russian skaters in ISU events "resulted in basically no advertising and media rights fee incomes from Russia." The expected ISU losses may come to about one million Swiss francs (about $1.1 million) in 2023.

MOSCOW, June 9 (Xinhua) -- More than 5,800 people, including 243 children, have been evacuated from the flooded areas of the Kherson region after the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam collapsed, a local official said on Friday.

In total, 22,273 houses in 17 settlements were affected in the Kherson region and the rise in water level can last up to 10 days, acting governor of the region Vladimir Saldo said in a Telegram post.

As water is draining from the Kakhovka reservoir, there is a threat to the supply of drinking water to 4,000 local residents, he added.

SOCHI, June 9. /TASS/: Russian President Vladimir Putin said Ukrainian forces achieved no success with their operations at the frontline due to the courage of Russian servicemen, the quality of Russian weapons and proper command organization.

"The enemy had no success in any area. It is all due to the courage and heroism of our soldiers, the proper organization and management of troops and the great efficiency of Russian weapons, especially advanced weapons," Putin told reporters.

He said the fighting has been very intense in the past two days.

MOSCOW, June 9. /TASS/: The world’s economy is recovering after the pandemic and returning to the structure it had before the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina said at a press conference after the Board meeting.

"The global economy is returning to the pre-COVID structure. The demand for services fell abruptly and the demand for goods surged during the pandemic; the situation is reverse now," she said.

MOSCOW, June 9. /TASS/: The Netherlands’ Supreme Court ruling on the Scythian gold was politicized, but as part of its decision, the court recognized Crimea as part of Russia, Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council (the upper house of Russia’s parliament), said on Friday.

"The Netherlands’ Supreme Court admitted Crimea’s reunification with Russia to justify its decision. Judicially, this very circumstance turned out to be pivotal in this case," the senator wrote on his Telegram channel.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that Moscow will deploy some of its tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus next month, a move that the Belarusian opposition described as an attempt to blackmail the West.

Putin said during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko that work on building facilities for the nuclear weapons will be completed by July 7-8, and they will be moved to the territory of Russia’s neighbor and ally quickly after that.

MOSCOW, June 8. /TASS/: Some 23 individuals have been injured as a result of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant’s dam collapsing and the flooding of the Kherson Region, medical services told TASS on Thursday.

"According to the latest data, 23 people have been injured, they have hypothermia and traumas, 21 individuals have been hospitalized," a source in the medical services said.
