Iran to raise uranium enrichment beyond nuclear deal limits

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran announced Sunday it will increase its uranium enrichment to an unspecified level beyond the terms of its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, breaking another limit set under the accord and furthering heightening tensions between Tehran and the U.S.

Setting another unspecified 60-day deadline for the deal, Iran took further steps toward pressuring Europe while urging further diplomacy to save an agreement that President Donald Trump unilaterally pulled the U.S. from a year ago.

CHICAGO, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures settled mixed in the trading week ending July 5, with corn rising weekly over unsatisfactory crop rating and soybeans falling sharply due to demand concerns.

The most active corn contract for December delivery was up 10.75 cents, or 2.49 percent, to close at 4.4225 dollars per bushel. September wheat was down 12.25 cents, or 2.32 percent, to settle at 5.15 dollars per bushel. November soybeans were down 28.5 cents, or 3.09 percent weekly, to close at 8.945 dollars per bushel.

Iranian president blames Europe for reduction in its JCPOA obligations

MOSCOW, July 7. /TASS/: In a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani blamed European partners for the decision to suspend some of his country's obligations under the nuclear deal, the Al-Mayadeen TV reported.

"The European Union should act in compliance with its obligations stemming from international agreements and UN resolutions," the Iranian leader said.

In the phone conversation with Macron, the Iranian leader described the US pressure on his country as "terrorism and economic warfare."

IAEA to hold special meeting on Iran on 10 July

5 July 2019; AFP: The UN's nuclear watchdog said Friday it will hold a special meeting on Iran's nuclear programme next week, days after Tehran breached one of the limits set in a 2015 deal with world powers.

The meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s board of governors would be held "on 10 July at 14:30," an IAEA spokesman said.

Govt rolls out PPP model for faster development of railways projects

New Delhi, July 5; GANASHAKTI: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 5 in her maiden Budget speech said that the Indian railways will use Public Private Partnership (PPP) model for faster development, rolling stock manufacturing and the delivery of freight.

Railways will need Rs 50 lakh crore between 2018 to 2030 to complete the sanctioned projects, she said.

Indian Railways set a target of 100 percent electrification of tracks by 2022 and achieved Rs 1,320 crore capex in FY19, said a report by Stewart & Mackertich.

Egypt increases fuel prices to promote economic reform

CAIRO, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Egypt on Friday increased fuel prices by up to 30 percent to meet the terms of a loan deal of 12 billion U.S. dollars and push to implement the economic reform plans, a move which experts described as positive and timely.

The price of 92 octane gasoline increased from 6.75 Egyptian pounds (0.41 dollars) to 8 pounds per liter, while the price of 80 octane gas increased from 5.5 pounds to 6.75 pounds per liter.

Indian Govt expects Rs 90,000 cr dividend from RBI in FY'20

New Delhi, Jul 5 (PTI) Finance Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg Friday said the government expects Rs 90,000 crore as dividend from the RBI in the current fiscal.

This is 32 per cent jump from the previous fiscal, when the central bank paid Rs 68,000 crore to the government including Rs 28,000 crore as interim dividend.

This was the highest receipt from the Reserve Bank in a single financial year, exceeding the Rs 65,896 crore received in 2015-16 and Rs 40,659 crore in 2017-18.
