Armenian president refuses to sign order dismissing chief of General Staff

Russia calls on EU officials to refrain from interfering in Moldova’s domestic affairs

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/: Moscow believes that Head of the EU delegation to Moldova Peter Michalko’s criticism of the Moldovan Coordination Council for Television and Radio Broadcasts constitutes interference in the country’s domestic affairs, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry noted that Michalko had criticized the council’s activities in a patronizing manner and called "for the creation of a legislative mechanism to protect Moldova from external disinformation."

Russia: Coronavirus to become seasonal disease in a year or two - expert

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/: The coronavirus infection may become a seasonal disease in a year or two, Deputy Director for Clinical and Analytical Work at the Central Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology Natalya Pshenichnaya told TASS.

"Perhaps, it will happen in the next one to two years. COVID-19 has already started to show the signs of a seasonal illness. The rise in infections that was recorded in the fall of 2020 could be proof of that," she pointed out.

Russia's coronavirus cases grow by 11,534 reaching 4,234,720

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/: Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 11,534 in the past 24 hours, the total number of infected people has reached 4,234,720, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday.

According to the crisis center, the growth rate in relative terms stands at 0.27%.

The lowest daily growth rates were registered in Tuva (0.03%), the Magadan Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region (0.05%), Adygea and Khakassia (0.08%).

Another Normandy Four summit needed to resolve conflict in Donbas: Ukrainian FM

KIEV, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Friday that a summit of the Nomandy Four leaders is needed to achieve progress in conflict resolution in Donbas, according to Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

"Despite all the efforts made at other levels, we understand that to take the next step, a decision is needed," Kuleba said during a press conference after talks with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian in Paris.

For his part, the French diplomat said that there was some progress at the 2019 Normandy Four summit in Paris.
