Chandigarh, Jan 25 (PTI) A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by two men in Haryana's Panipat district, police said on Saturday.

The girl was going to tuition centre on her scooter on Friday evening when two men waylaid her and then took her to a secluded place in their car, an official of the Model Town police station said.

She was given something laced with sedatives before being gang-raped the official said.

New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Walmart-owned Flipkart on Tuesday said it is strengthening its supply chain infrastructure by setting up two warehouses (fulfilment centres or FCs) in Haryana, a move that will create about 5,000 jobs locally.

Chandigarh, Dec 28 (PTI) A minor girl was raped and gagged to death in Ferozepur Jhirka of Haryana's Mewat district, police said.

The eight-year-old victim along with two other girls had gone out to graze goats on Thursday, police said adding that as one of her goats went missing, she went in search for it but did not return home.

Her family members found her body in a forest area on Friday, police said adding that the victim's body was found in a pool of blood.

Chandigarh, Dec 12 (PTI) A 12-year-old girl has alleged that she was raped repeatedly by four persons, including a minor, on several occasions in Haryana's Karnal district, police said on Thursday.

In her compliant, the girl has alleged that the accused, who live near her house in Karnal, committed the crime at her home when her parents used to be away for work, they said.

Chandigarh, Dec 9 (PTI) A prominent Jat body on Monday demanded a ban on the screening of Ashutosh Gowariker's "Panipat", alleging that it depicted Jat ruler Maharaja Surajmal in an unseemly light.

All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangarsh Samiti's national president Yashpal Malik also alleged that historical facts had been distorted in the film.

At its core committee meeting in Rohtak's Jassia, the organisation demanded legal action against the film producer besides a ban on it in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and other places.

Gurgaon, Dec 7 (PTI) Five men were arrested in Gurgaon for allegedly molesting a minor girl as she was returning home from school, police said on Saturday.

The incident occurred around noon on Friday under Farukh Nagar police station area and the girl's father lodged a complaint against the accused, Gurgaon police PRO Subhash Boken said.

Chandigarh, Dec 7 (PTI) The Haryana Police has arrested a man who allegedly raped his daughter and killed her by administering rat poison in a bid to conceal his crime, an official said on Saturday.

The accused was arrested on Friday from Indore, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Gorakhpal told reporters in Rohtak.

The accused, a factory worker, had a strained relationship with his wife and the couple had been living separately at Rohtak for the past six months.

Gurgaon, Nov 18 (PTI) A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a school girl in Pataudi area near here, police said on Monday.

The incident occurred on Saturday when the 15-year-old girl was returning home from school, they said.

Chandigarh, Nov 16 (PTI) An FIR has been lodged against a junior artist for allegedly raping a TV actress after making a false promise of marrying her, the Yamunanagar police said on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Vineet Verma (24), is absconding and raids are being conducted to nab him, said Seema Devi, SHO, women's police station, Yamunanagar.

Gurgaon, Nov 6 (PTI) A man was arrested for sexually assaulting a pregnant woman here, a police officer said on Wednesday.

Ravinder (30), a resident of Sohna, was arrested from his residence.

"He sexually assaulted his relative after he found her alone at her residence on Monday. The victim on Tuesday gave a written complaint against him at the Sohna police station," Gurgaon police PRO Subhash Bokan said.

"Taking the matter seriously, a police team immediately raided Ravinder's house and nabbed him. He has confessed to the crime," he added.
