JERUSALEM, Feb 14 (NNN-WAFA) – Clashes between Palestinians and Israeli settlers broke out in East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood early yesterday, after an Israeli lawmaker reopened his office in the neighbourhood.

Israeli police said, six Palestinians had been arrested amid the clashes. The police said, the “riots,” injured “several” people, who needed hospital care.

The police “dispersed the ‘rioters’ after they did not comply with the police call to stop.”

As Iran talks stall, Israeli PM makes snap trip to Bahrain

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is flying to the Gulf state of Bahrain on Monday, cementing ties between the new allies in a clear message of cooperation aimed at regional archrival Iran.

Bennett’s trip to the Gulf is the first public visit by an Israeli prime minister to Bahrain, and comes less than two weeks after the countries signed a defense agreement with an eye on rising tensions in the Gulf. The visit also comes as nuclear talks between world powers and Iran are dragging on in Vienna.

91% of victims of cybercrimes in Israel do not tell police: Report

14 Feb 2022; MEMO: Some 91 per cent of Israelis who have been the victim of cybercrimes have not reported the matter to the police, in what the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) said indicates the level of mistrust between people and the police.

A new study by CBS released yesterday said that about 211,000 people over the age of 20 had been subjected to cybercrimes in 2020, yet 91.3 per cent of them have never reported it to the police.

Israel becomes 1st country allowing drones flight in civilian airspace: minister

JERUSALEM, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israel's Ministry of Transport and Road Safety announced on Wednesday the country's first certification for unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) to operate in civilian airspace.

The certification was issued by the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to the Hermes Starliner unmanned system, which was developed and manufactured by Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense electronics company.

Israel Confirms Killing Three Palestinians In West Bank

JERUSALEM/RAMALLAH, Feb 9 (NNN-WAFA) – Israel confirmed yesterday, its forces killed three Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during an alleged “operation to thwart a terror cell.”

The three men were “armed terrorists who were … killed during clashes with the security forces,” Israel’s Border Police announced.

Earlier in the day, the Palestinian Ministry of Health, said in a statement that, Israeli soldiers shot dead three Palestinian men in al-Makhfeya neighbourhood in the city of Nablus.

Israel Strikes Syria In Response To Anti-Aircraft Missile Fire

JERUSALEM, Feb 9 (NNN-PNA) – Israel struck targets in Syria today, in response to an anti-aircraft missile launched from Syria, which exploded in mid-air, the Israeli army said.

Sirens were heard in the Arab city of Umm al-Fahm, in northern Israel, as well as, in the occupied West Bank, the army said in a statement.

Residents reported large explosion sounds, according to the Hebrew-language news outlet, Ynetnews.

There were no immediate reports of Israeli casualties.
