Palestine: 'To maintain Palestinian reconciliation, Fatah should not listen to US, Israel advice'; Hamas

15 October 2022; MEMO: The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas recommended on Friday that Fatah should not listen to the US or Israeli advice in order to maintain an internal Palestinian reconciliation.

Speaking to a local TV channel, senior Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzouq announced that all previous attempts to end the internal Palestinian division have not come to fruition due to US and Israeli intervention.

Palestinians mourn doctor killed by Israeli occupation forces

15 October 2022; MEMO: Hundreds of Palestinian mourners on Friday participated in the funeral procession of Palestinian doctor Abdullah Abu Al-Teen, 43, who was killed by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank city of Jenin.

The Palestinian doctor was severely injured by Israeli occupation forces while trying to rescue wounded Palestinians in front of Jenin Government Hospital.

Dr Abu Al-Teen was pronounced dead shortly after being shot, the Palestinian Health Ministry shared.

12 October 2022; MEMO: Before the start of Palestinian national meetings in Algiers yesterday, Fatah rejected an Algerian proposal for the internal Palestinian reconciliation, Quds Press reported yesterday.

"While the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has accepted the Algerian proposal for the reconciliation with Fatah, the latter rejected the proposal and suggested two major changes," an informed source told Quds Press.

Palestinians protest as Jerusalem refugee camp locked down

13 October 2022; MEMO: Hundreds of people protested at checkpoints into a refugee camp in Jerusalem and protests between Palestinians and Israeli security forces broke out across the West Bank on Wednesday, with a Palestinian killed near the southern city of Hebron, Reuters reports.

The incidents continue months of escalating tensions that have deepened since Israeli forces began a crackdown in the occupied West Bank in late March that killed 19 people.

Palestinian, 12, dies of gunshot wound from Israel army raid

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — A 12-year-old Palestinian boy died Monday after being shot and wounded by Israeli soldiers during a September army raid in a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

Mahmoud Samoudi was shot in the abdomen on Sept. 28 during an army raid in Jenin, a refugee camp and stronghold of armed Palestinians.

On Monday, the ministry mistakenly reported the boy was wounded during the weekend, but the Israeli military said the incident happened in September and the ministry has since corrected its initial reporting.
