EU reluctant to issue visas to holders of Russian passports issued in certain regions

BRUSSELS, November 10. /TASS/: The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement to not accept Russian travel documents issued in the former regions of Ukraine that have joined Russia, as well as in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, according to a statement published on the European Council’s website on Thursday.

Lavrov to lead Russian delegation to G20 summit in Bali — Kremlin

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/: Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the Bali summit of the Group of 20 and the Russian delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS on Thursday.

"It was decided that Russia will be represented by Sergey Lavrov at the G20 summit," the Kremlin official said.

Earlier on Thursday, Reuters, citing a source in the Indonesian government, reported that, according to Jakarta, the Russian leader may participate in one of the summit’s sessions in an online format.

Britain has frozen 18 billion pounds worth of Russian assets

LONDON, Nov 10 (Reuters) - The British government said on Thursday it had frozen assets worth more than 18 billion pounds ($20.5 billion) held by Russian oligarchs, other individuals and businesses sanctioned over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

Russia has overtaken Libya and Iran to become Britain's most-sanctioned nation, the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), part of the finance ministry, said in its annual report.

The frozen Russian assets were 6 billion pounds more than the amount reported across all other British sanctions regimes.

Russian oil cap doubts spur insurer fears of ships left at sea

LONDON/BRUSSELS, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Oil-laden tankers risk being left languishing at sea if insurers do not urgently get clarity on an unfinished G7 and European Union plan to cap the price of Russian crude, two senior industry executives told Reuters.

The Group of Seven (G7), which includes the United States, Britain, Germany and France, agreed in September to enforce a low price on sales of Russian oil.

Germany to Hungary: no grey area on ratifying Sweden, Finland NATO accession

BERLIN, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Germany has made it clear to Hungary that there is no grey area when it comes to the ratification of Sweden and Finland's accession to NATO, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said in Berlin on Thursday.

"With regard to the question about Hungary: I would like to underline this clearly ... there is no grey area," Baerbock told a joint news conference with her Swedish counterpart, Tobias Billstrom.

Israelis, Palestinians can share World Cup flights to Qatar

ZURICH (AP) — Soccer fans from Israel and the Palestinian territories can share flights to the World Cup in Qatar in a breakthrough agreement announced by FIFA on Thursday.

Charter flights to Doha from Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv for soccer games starting on Nov. 20 will be open to all Palestinians, FIFA said. This includes residents from the occupied West Bank and blockaded Gaza Strip who typically cannot travel through Israel’s main airport.
