Trump says he might leave US if he loses Nov. 3 presidential election

NEW YORK, Oct 18 (APP): US President Donald Trump has said at a public meeting that he may have to “leave the country” if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden wins next month’s election.

“Could you imagine if I lose?” Trump told supporters gathered at an airport in Macon, Georgia. “I’m not going to feel so good. Maybe I’ll have to leave the country, I don’t know,” he said.

“My whole life – what am I going to do? I’m going to say I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics.”

USA: New York State sets new record of COVID-19 testing: governor

NEW YORK, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- New York State broke a new COVID-19 testing record on Friday, with over 159,000 tests reported, Governor Andrew Cuomo tweeted on Saturday.

"We do more testing than any other state in the country," he said, adding that the entire country of France reported just under 200,000 tests on Friday.

Of the 159,972 tests reported on Friday, 1,784 were positive, or 1.11 percent of the total, said Cuomo.

Global COVID-19 deaths surpass 1.1 mln: Johns Hopkins University

NEW YORK, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Global COVID-19 deaths surpassed 1.1 million on Friday, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The global death toll rose to 1,100,364, while there were more than 39 million cases worldwide as of 12:24 p.m. (1624 GMT), the CSSE data showed.
