ANKARA, Oct 16 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Turkey will do “whatever is necessary” to “cleanse terrorists” along its border with Syria following Kurdish militia attacks on Turkish security posts, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

Attacks that Ankara blames on the US-backed Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) have killed at least three Turkish security personnel in Syria’s north over the last week.

Similar attacks on Turkish posts have intensified in recent months.

ISTANBUL, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Turkey has signed an additional trade agreement for 11 billion cubic meters of natural gas with Azerbaijan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez announced on Friday.

Donmez said in a statement that the gas would be transferred from the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) pipeline, also known as the South Caucasus Pipeline, until the end of 2024.

8 Oct 2021; MEMO: Turkey has made a request to its NATO ally, the United States, to buy 40 Lockheed Martin-made F-16 fighter jets, reports Reuters.

According to the report, Turkey is looking to modernise its air force after the purchase of F-35 jets fell through.

The order needs to be approved by the US State Department as well as the US Congress which can block deals.

ANKARA, Oct 11 (NNN-TELESUR) — Venezuela’s Foreign Affairs Minister Felix Plasencia has signed three cooperation agreements with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu to strengthen bilateral ties.

The agreements are connected with the development of Turkey’s Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Venezuela’s Simon Bolivar Institute for Peace and Solidarity, and the Center for Strategic Research belonging to the Turkish Foreign Affairs Ministry.

9 Oct 2021; AA: Turkey urged G20 countries on Friday to take further action against climate change. 

G20 countries that have 70% of the world population and most of the global economic opportunities should act for the solution, Turkish Parliamentary Speaker Mustafa Sentop said in a news conference in Rome.

Reiterating that the Turkish Parliament already ratified the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, he said countries that contribute more to pollution should bear more liability.

A hall with a podium, temple, odium, and bathhouse were among the remains that have survived to the present day in the ancient city of Alexandria Troas, an area near the Aegean Sea.

"On the contrary, they'll always be pleased with the great profits that it provides," said Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of a polypropylene factory in the southern province of Adana.

ANKARA, October 9. /TASS/: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu urged the US to abolish its "misguided policy" in Syria instead of accusing Ankara, commenting on the extension of US sanctions against Turkey.

"Instead of accusing Turkey, the US must cease its own misguided policy. They should be more honest to the US American people and the Congress," he said at a press conference Saturday.

09 Oct 2021; MEMO: As reported by Anadolu Agency on Friday, Turkey condemned the terror attack targeting a mosque during Friday prayers in Afghanistan's northern province of Kunduz.

"It is with great sadness that we have received the news of the terrorist attack that took place today (8 October) during Friday prayers at a mosque in Kunduz province of Afghanistan, as a result of which many people lost their lives and many were injured," a Foreign Ministry statement said.

08 Oct 2021; MEMO: A drunken Turkish man spent hours combing through the forest in search of a missing person, only to discover the search team had been looking for him.

Last Tuesday, construction worker Beyhan Mutlu, 50, was reported missing after getting drunk on a night out and wandering into the forest.

After his worried wife was unable to reach him on his mobile phone and he didn't return home, she called the police.
