Intl’ Community recognizes Pakistani stance on Pulwama incident : Qureshi

ISLAMABAD, May 10 (APP): Minister for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that entire world has admitted the stance of Pakistan about having its no link with Pulwama incident and its policy to defuse tension in the region.

The minister stated while responding to a Calling Attention Notice (CAN) here on Friday in National Assembly which was regarding steps by the government for release of ninety fishermen belonging to Thatha and Karachi who are in prison in India for the last ten years.

13 attacks by Israel settlers on Palestinians over 2 wk period

10 May 2019; MEMO: Israeli settlers carried out 13 attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank over a two-week period 23 April-6 May, reported United Nations OCHA.

According to the monitoring body, the attacks “resulted in the injury of three Palestinians” as well as in “damage to Palestinian property across the West Bank”.

Saudi vessel leaves France without arms

10 May 2019; MEMO: A Saudi vessel that had been due to load arms in France left the country’s Le Havre port without its cargo of weapons and is now sailing towards Santander in Spain, according to ship tracking data, a local official and a lawyer.

Reuters reported that two French human rights groups yesterday sought to block the loading of weapons onto the ship through a legal filing, arguing the cargo contravened an international arms treaty.

Iranians rally in support of gov't decision to stop complying with nuke deal

TEHRAN, May 10 (Xinhua): Thousands of people in Iran's capital Tehran on Friday rallied in support of recent Iranian government's decision to suspend the implementation of some of its commitments under the nuclear deal in response to the U.S. withdrawal from the deal last year.

According to local media, similar rallies were held in other Iranian cities after the Friday prayers.

In Tehran, people chanted slogans and held placards in support of the Iranian government's decision.

Venezuelans suffer from U.S. sanctions

CARACAS, May 9 (Xinhua): With a prescription in his hand, Francisco Gonzalez, a night watchman whose wife was suffering from cancer, walked out of a private pharmacy in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas.

With the composure of someone who has become accustomed to the difficulties of finding medications, Gonzalez told Xinhua the medicines he needs "haven't been found for now."

US charges intelligence analyst for leaking assassinations info on drone program

10 May 2019; DW: The US Department of Justice has charged a former intelligence analyst for leaking top secret information on its global drone program. The information included targeted assassinations in Yemen, Somalia and Afghanistan.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) charged Daniel Everette Hale, a former intelligence analyst, with the theft and disclosure of sensitive government information in Alexandria, Virginia on Thursday.

India: Woman found hanging from tree, in-laws booked

Kota (Rajasthan), May 9 (PTI) A 25-year-old married woman was found hanging from a tree in the Pedola forest area of Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, police said Thursday.

The woman, identified as Sunita Tanwar, a resident of Doulatpura village, was found hanging at around 2.30 am Wednesday, they said.

"She had left home on Tuesday morning following which her father and relatives approached the Dangipur police. Prima facie it is a case of suicide," DSP Dhanphul Singh said.
