India: A Pakistani and two Kashmiris killed in Pulwama dist of Indian Administered Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 3 (UMMN): A Pakistani and two Kashmiris were killed on Wednesday in an encounter with Indian security forces in Pulwama dist of Indian Administered Kashmir, Indian officials said.

"The killing of Abdul Rehman alias Fauji Bhai alias Fauji Baba, a Pakistani national, is a big success for security forces" Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar told reporters.

A Kashmiri separatist killed by Indian security forces in Doda district of Indian administered Kashmir

Srinagar, May 17 (UMM): A Kashmiri separatist and an army soldier were killed in an alleged encounter with Indian security forces in a village in Doda district of Indian administered Kashmir, Indian officials said.

India: Detention of JKPM Leader Shah Faesal extended by 3 months under PSA

Srinagar, May 13 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir administration has extended detention of former IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faesal under the controversial Public Safety Act (PSA) by three months, official said on Wednesday.

Faesal, who has been under detention after scrapping of Jammu and Kashmir's special status, was booked under the PSA in February this year.

India: Kashmiri separatist commander killed in Indian Administered Kashmir

Srinagar, May 06 (UMM): A top Kashmiri separatist commander Riyaz Naikoo was on Wednesday killed in an encounter with Indian security forces in his home village in Kashmir's Pulwama district, officials said.

According to PTI, Indian authorities in Jammu and Kasmir have snapped mobile internet services across the valley as a precautionary measure, in anticipation of a possible a law and order problem, police said, adding that there are strict restrictions on the movement of people.

India: 3 CRPF personnel killed in militant attack in Kupwara

Srinagar, May 4 (PTI) Three CRPF personnel were killed and two others injured when militants opened fire on them at a checkpoint in Kupwara, officials said here on Monday, a day after five security personnel lost their lives during an encounter in the district.

A teenaged civilian, reportedly of unsound mental condition, was also killed in the exchange of fire between the security forces and the ultras on Monday, they said.

India: JK govt declares entire Kashmir valley, 2 district of Jammu in red zone

Jammu, May 4 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir administration has declared the entire Kashmir valley and three district of Jammu region as "red zone" based on overall assessment of the coronavirus situation and expected movement of stranded persons to the union territory.

The classification of districts was given in an order issued by Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam on Sunday night.

The Union Health Ministry had classified four districts of Jammu and Kashmir - Srinagar, Bandipora, Anantnag and Shopian -- in red zone.

India: Colonel, Major among five security personnel killed in clash with Kasmiri separatists in Indian Administered Kashmir

Srinagar, May 03 (UMM): An Army Colonel, a Major, three security personnel and two Kasmiri separatists were killed in an encounter at a village in Handwara in north Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.

Army officers Col Ashutosh Sharma and Major Anuj, and Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspector Shakeel Qazi were among the deceased, they said.
