Noida (UP), Jan 17 (PTI) The police here on Sunday rescued a six-year-old girl who had gone missing two days back and arrested a woman who had allegedly kidnapped her, officials said.

The accused had taken the girl to Delhi in order to push her into begging, they said.

"The girl lives with her family in Bhangel area. On Friday, they approached the Phase 2 police station and informed the officials that the girl has gone missing. An FIR was lodged immediately and investigation taken up," a police spokesperson said.

Shahjahanpur (UP), Jan 15 (PTI) A woman here has alleged that she was raped twice by a sub-inspector who also made a video of the incident, police said on Friday.

The woman has alleged that the sub-inspector (SI) posted at Jalalabad police station took her to a secluded place when she was returning from Shahjahanpur on January 8 and raped her for the second time.

The officer also threatened her not to pursue the case, Superintendent of Police S Anand said quoting the complaint of the victim.

An FIR in the mater was registered on Thursday.

Pratapgarh (UP), Jan 16 (PTI) A man was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing an Uttar Pradesh government officer, police said on Saturday.

The woman officer on January 2 had filed a complaint with the police alleging that the accused had made an obscene video of her and was blackmailing her as well as her family members, Station House Officer Ram Adhar said.

Acting on the complaint, the police on Friday arrested the accused hailing from Basantpur in Shahjahanpur district, he said.

Banda (UP), Jan 16 ( PTI) A 5-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, police said on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday night in the village under the Girwa police station area, they said.

A man has been arrested in this connection, Circle Officer (CO) Nareni Siyaram said.

The 23-year-old man had lured the minor to a secluded spot by offering her Rs 10. He allegedly raped the girl there, the CO said.

Ballia (UP), Jan 13 (PTI) The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) is likely to contest the upcoming panchayat polls in Uttar Pradesh under an electoral pact with regional outfit Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP).

The SBSP, headed by former UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, is garnering smaller and regional parties under the Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha.

"Candidates belonging to Asaduddin Owaisi's party are likely to be fielded in the panchayat elections as the Morcha's joint candidate," Rajbhar told reporters here on Wednesday.

Banda (UP), Jan 14 (PTI) A 17-year-old girl, who was raped 10 years ago, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in a village here, police said on Thursday.

She was raped 10 years ago by a man of her village who recently returned after completing seven years jail term, they said.

The girl allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday and her body has been handed over to her family after post-mortem, Sub-Inspector incharge of Khaptiha Kala police chowki, Dinesh Kumar, said.

Bareilly (UP), Jan 12 (PTI) A minor girl was allegedly raped by her lover and his friends after he blackmailed her using her obscene videos and pictures, police said on Tuesday.

On the complaint of the girl, an FIR was lodged against her lover and four other youths on Tuesday and efforts were on to nab them, they said.

According to the minor, the youth had raped her on the promise of marriage for one year and also made obscene videos and pictures, ASP Satyanarayan Prajapat said.
